I think I like this one, but not absolutely sure, and I’d love to know what you think.
We have a friendly competitor–a guy with nearly 100 employees, so he must be doing a few things right. He uses an email signature that’s practically a seminar on what he does.
He says that you send a strong message, with several ways to contact you. You detail benefits, you include a hook, typically by offering something free, and give a call to action.
Pretty basic marketing stuff.

Seems a little clunky and I’m not sure we’ll use it, but it’s an interesting idea, and it works for at least one big-time website marketing guy.
It shouldn’t be too difficult to test it, especially for those of you who are actively doing some email marketing. Just segment your list and try something like the above with part of it, and see what happens.
